DiamondBacks (171) at Grove Rats (158)

With their 171 points, DiamondBacks is now the proud record-holder of the 5th-highest weekly point total in league history.

DiamondBacks were led to their 13 point victory by a 45 point effort from Tom Brady, who tore apart the Miami Dolphins defense for 517 passing yards and 4 passing TDs in addition to 3 rushing yards. With this performance, Brady was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 1. They also got help from a 34 point effort from Kenny Britt, who beat the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 136 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs.

"This team shows a lot of resiliency," DiamondBacks coach Byron Crabb said.

Grove Rats were helped out in a losing cause by a 40 point effort from Wes Welker, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 160 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Welker was the number 5 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 1. They also got help from a 31 point effort from LeSean McCoy, who beat the St. Louis Rams defense for 122 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 15 receiving yards.

"These guys have nothing to be ashamed of," Grove Rats coach Randy Gattis said.

Adding salt to the wound, Grove Rats could have scored 186 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Randy Gattis left key players like Rob Gronkowski and his corresponding 20 points on the bench.

Grove Rats drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 8 other potential opponents in week 1.

This brings the record for DiamondBacks to 1-0, and drops Grove Rats to a record of 0-1.

SHOWTIME were led to their 3 point victory by a 27 point effort from Jay Cutler, who beat the Atlanta Falcons defense for 312 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 23 point effort from Hakeem Nicks, who beat the Washington Redskins defense for 122 receiving yards.

"We're going to savor this victory," SHOWTIME coach Eddie Murillo said.

Moose Knuckles were helped out in a losing cause by a 28 point effort from Philip Rivers, who beat the Minnesota Vikings defense for 335 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 27 point effort from Reggie Wayne, who beat the Houston Texans defense for 106 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"They out-coached us," Moose Knuckles coach Tim Herbst said.

Causing further embarrassment, Moose Knuckles could have scored 140 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Tim Herbst left key players like Josh Freeman and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.

This brings the record for SHOWTIME to 1-0, and drops Moose Knuckles to a record of 0-1.

With this performance, Rodgers was the number 5 ranked quarterback for week 1. They also got help from a 26 point effort from the San Francisco 49ers Defensive Team.

"We weren't going to just roll over," Hairy Polis coach Robert Recker said.

Da Mudbugz were helped out in a losing cause by a 24 point effort from Brandon Marshall, who beat the New England Patriots defense for 139 receiving yards. They also got help from a 18 point effort from Ben Roethlisberger, who got by the Baltimore Ravens defense for 280 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 9 rushing yards.

"We weren't mentally prepared," Da Mudbugz coach Richard Sumlin said.

Compounding the issue, Da Mudbugz could have scored 140 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Richard Sumlin left key players like Ben Tate and his corresponding 21 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Hairy Polis to 1-0, and drops Da Mudbugz to a record of 0-1.

RoadKill Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 26 point effort from Michael Vick, who snuck past the St. Louis Rams defense for 187 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 97 rushing yards. They also got help from a 21 point effort from Jason Witten, who beat the New York Jets defense for 110 receiving yards.

"They wanted it more than we did," RoadKill Gang coach Danny Bauer said.

This brings the record for Handscraped Divas to 1-0, and drops RoadKill Gang to a record of 0-1.

"We don't care about moral victories," Virginia Gentlemen coach Hank Glospie said.
