Grove Rats (116) at Moose Knuckles (107)
(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Nov 7, 2011) In a week 9 BUBBA Fantasy Football League intra-divisional rivalry, Grove Rats squeaked by a tough Moose Knuckles team by a score of 116 to 107, extending the losing streak for Moose Knuckles to 3 games.

Grove Rats were led to their 9 point victory by a 27 point effort from Wes Welker, who beat the New York Giants defense for 136 receiving yards in addition to 13 rushing yards. With this performance, Welker was the number 4 ranked wide receiver for week 9. They also got help from a 23 point effort from Antonio Gates, who got by the Green Bay Packers defense for 96 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"We've got the greatest fans in the world," Grove Rats coach Randy Gattis said.

Moose Knuckles were helped out in a losing cause by a 39 point effort from Philip Rivers, who tore apart the Green Bay Packers defense for 385 passing yards and 4 passing TDs. With this performance, Rivers was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 9. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Victor Cruz, who got by the New England Patriots defense for 91 receiving yards.

"They wanted it more than we did," Moose Knuckles coach Tim Herbst said.

Adding salt to the wound, Moose Knuckles could have scored 126 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Tim Herbst left key players like Josh Freeman and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Grove Rats to 7-2, and drops Moose Knuckles to a record of 2-7.

Virginia Gentlemen (112) at Hairy Polis (102)

Virginia Gentlemen were led to their 10 point victory by a 25 point effort from DeMarco Murray, who beat the Seattle Seahawks defense for 139 rushing yards in addition to 47 receiving yards. With this performance, Murray was the number 4 ranked running back for week 9. They also got help from a 20 point effort from Michael Bush, who got by the Denver Broncos defense for 96 rushing yards in addition to 33 receiving yards.

"This was a confidence booster," Virginia Gentlemen coach Hank Glospie said.

Hairy Polis were helped out in a losing cause by a 33 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the San Diego Chargers defense for 247 passing yards and 4 passing TDs in addition to 52 rushing yards. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 9. They also got help from a 19 point effort from Steven Jackson, who beat the Arizona Cardinals defense for 130 rushing yards in addition to 12 receiving yards.

"They own us," Hairy Polis coach Robert Recker said.

Compounding the issue, Hairy Polis could have scored 162 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Robert Recker left key players like Willis McGahee and his corresponding 32 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Virginia Gentlemen to 4-5, and drops Hairy Polis to a record of 5-4.

Da Mudbugz were led to their 33 point victory by a 43 point effort from Vincent Jackson, who beat the Green Bay Packers defense for 141 receiving yards and 3 receiving TDs. With this performance, Jackson was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 9. They also got help from a 29 point effort from Arian Foster, who beat the Cleveland Browns defense for 124 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 26 receiving yards.

"We weren't going to just roll over," Da Mudbugz coach Richard Sumlin said.

DiamondBacks were helped out in a losing cause by a 29 point effort from Tom Brady, who beat the New York Giants defense for 342 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 5 rushing yards. With this performance, Brady was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 9. They also got help from a 28 point effort from Rob Gronkowski, who beat the New York Giants defense for 101 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"They out-coached us," DiamondBacks coach Byron Crabb said.

Compounding the issue, DiamondBacks could have scored 188 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Byron Crabb left key players like Jordy Nelson and his corresponding 25 points on the bench.

DiamondBacks drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 8 other potential opponents in week 9.

RoadKill Gang were led to their 8 point victory by a 20 point effort from Darren Sproles, who snuck past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 42 rushing yards in addition to 57 receiving yards. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Jason Witten, who snuck past the Seattle Seahawks defense for 71 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"We knew we had to defend our home turf," RoadKill Gang coach Danny Bauer said.

SHOWTIME were helped out in a losing cause by a 16 point effort from Mike Wallace, who snuck past the Baltimore Ravens defense for 68 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. They also got help from a 15 point effort from Matt Cassel, who got by the Miami Dolphins defense for 253 passing yards in addition to 38 rushing yards.

"They ate our lunch," SHOWTIME coach Eddie Murillo said.

Compounding the issue, SHOWTIME could have scored 104 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Eddie Murillo left key players like Jay Cutler and his corresponding 18 points on the bench.

RoadKill Gang took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 7 out of 8 other potential opponents in week 9.

This brings the record for RoadKill Gang to 4-5, and drops SHOWTIME to a record of 5-4.

They also got help from a 19 point effort from Ray Rice, who snuck past the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 43 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 43 receiving yards.

"We came out flat," Who Dats coach Gary Craft said.

Compounding the issue, Who Dats could have scored 139 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Gary Craft left key players like Julio Jones and his corresponding 35 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Handscraped Divas to 8-1, and drops Who Dats to a record of 2-7.
