Grove Rats (132) at SHOWTIME (61)
(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Oct 10, 2011) In a week 5 BUBBA Fantasy Football League showdown, Grove Rats embarrassed a hapless SHOWTIME team by a score of 132 to 61, extending the winning streak for Grove Rats to 4 games.

Grove Rats were led to their 71 point victory by a 35 point effort from Fred Jackson, who beat the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 111 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 85 receiving yards. With this performance, Jackson was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 5. They also got help from a 28 point effort from Calvin Johnson, who beat the Chicago Bears defense for 130 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"This team always seems to find a way to win," Grove Rats coach Randy Gattis said.

SHOWTIME were helped out in a losing cause by a 16 point effort from Jay Cutler, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 249 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 3 rushing yards. They also got help from a 16 point effort from Hakeem Nicks, who snuck past the Seattle Seahawks defense for 65 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"I tip my hat to them," SHOWTIME coach Eddie Murillo said.

This brings the record for Grove Rats to 4-1, and drops SHOWTIME to a record of 2-3.

Da Mudbugz were led to their 2 point victory by a 37 point effort from Eli Manning, who tore apart the Seattle Seahawks defense for 420 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 5 rushing yards. With this performance, Manning was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 5. They also got help from a 34 point effort from Adrian Peterson, who beat the Arizona Cardinals defense for 122 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs.

"It hasn't sunk in yet," Da Mudbugz coach Richard Sumlin said.

Moose Knuckles were helped out in a losing cause by a 35 point effort from Dwayne Bowe, who beat the Indianapolis Colts defense for 128 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Bowe was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 5. They also got help from a 30 point effort from Jahvid Best, who beat the Chicago Bears defense for 163 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 9 receiving yards.

"They out-muscled us," Moose Knuckles coach Tim Herbst said.

Causing further embarrassment, Moose Knuckles could have scored 165 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Tim Herbst left key players like Frank Gore and his corresponding 25 points on the bench.

Moose Knuckles drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 8 other potential opponents in week 5.

This brings the record for Da Mudbugz to 2-3, and drops Moose Knuckles to a record of 1-4.

Hairy Polis were led to their 12 point victory by a 31 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who tore apart the Atlanta Falcons defense for 396 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 4 ranked quarterback for week 5. They also got help from a 19 point effort from DeSean Jackson, who got by the Buffalo Bills defense for 86 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"We really took it to 'em," Hairy Polis coach Robert Recker said.

DiamondBacks were helped out in a losing cause by a 24 point effort from Tom Brady, who beat the New York Jets defense for 321 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 3 rushing yards. They also got help from a 22 point effort from Matt Forte, who beat the Detroit Lions defense for 116 rushing yards in addition to 35 receiving yards.

"We shot ourselves in the foot," DiamondBacks coach Byron Crabb said.

Compounding the issue, DiamondBacks could have scored 149 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Byron Crabb left key players like BenJarvus Green-Ellis and his corresponding 31 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Hairy Polis to 3-2, and drops DiamondBacks to a record of 2-3.

Handscraped Divas were led to their 11 point victory by a 33 point effort from Pierre Garcon, who beat the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 125 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, Garcon was the number 3 ranked wide receiver for week 5. They also got help from a 29 point effort from Drew Brees, who tore apart the Carolina Panthers defense for 359 passing yards and 2 passing TDs.

"We're going to savor this victory," Handscraped Divas coach Russ Marks said.

RoadKill Gang were helped out in a losing cause by a 36 point effort from Michael Vick, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 315 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 90 rushing yards. With this performance, Vick was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 5. They also got help from a 17 point effort from Roddy White, who snuck past the Green Bay Packers defense for 50 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"This is a bitter pill to swallow," RoadKill Gang coach Danny Bauer said.

Causing further embarrassment, RoadKill Gang could have scored 142 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Danny Bauer left key players like Matt Schaub and his corresponding 32 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Handscraped Divas to 5-0, and drops RoadKill Gang to a record of 2-3.

Who Dats were helped out in a losing cause by a 13 point effort from Ryan Fitzpatrick, who snuck past the Philadelphia Eagles defense for 193 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 7 rushing yards. They also got help from a 12 point effort from New Orleans Saints.

"Turnovers killed us," Who Dats coach Gary Craft said.

Virginia Gentlemen took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 6 out of 8 other potential opponents in week 5.
